Excluded eBay locations for Shipping Policy not in eBay API? (Australia)

Hi there,
I’ve just now been in email conversation with M2E, as I can’t create a shipping policy that excludes areas in Australia – there is no list to select from (well, it only has one item to tick: “PO boxes”).

M2E‘s support team emailed saying that if no other locations, except PO Box, are displayed in the list of the excluded locations, it means no other options are available through the eBay API.

Does anybody here who lists in eBay Australia – how have you solved this?

(attached is the excluded locations list for Australia)

Hi Eveliene,

Hmmm how unusual, I would have thought Australia being as big as it is that you would have had the ability to add some restriction in, but it sounds like it’s an eBay issue as M2E are trying to pull the API and it isn’t returning anything.

Would be interested to hear how others get around this, if indeed they do.

Does anybody have experience how to handle this?

By now I’ve imported 40 of my eBay AU listings into Magento, and this shipping policy is a big pain: every time I revise a listing, it overwrites the correct shipping policy. That means that after each revision I have to go into eBay to fix the shipping policy.

I’m certain others must have found a better way, as this is not doable.

Thanks

Hi Eveliene,

This sounds unusual, have you double checked that the shipping policy that is set to your listing group is the correct one?

I can’t see any other explanation as to why this would be happening.

Hi Al,

It is useful to hear that I am not the only one – I am still researching this. I have asked many forums now, and so far no response. Anywhere.
I asked M2E Pro support to put me in touch with other Australian users, all I got from them is the link to the forum, but I’ve had no luck there so far.

M2E Pro’s support suggests to change the locations directly on eBay. But as I mentioned above, that gets changed by M2E in certain circumstances, which is creating chaos in my listings.

So, still looking for other Australian M2E Pro users.

Seriously, if I had known this, I would not have chosen Magento / M2E Pro. It is now simply holding up my business growth.

Hi folks, same issue here. Well, just Australia is missing. All other locations are there. Would be great to hear any progress. I’m still investigating lol

Hello there. Have you tried contacting M2E Pro support as Eveliene did?

Thanks Al, I have supported your post on the M2E forum. Hopefully we’ll get some response.

I am also still working with the M2E Pro support team – hopefully something comes out of that too.

cheers

Hi Al,

I only discovered it today by chance…

The only update I did was a week ago, to update M2E Pro to support the restriction of active content in Items Descriptions. I am now on release 6.4.10. I can only imagine that it was part of that release (I have not read the release documentation):

how to upgrade your current M2E Pro version:
M2E Pro Upgrade: https://docs.m2epro.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=20185940
In addition, you are welcome to look through the Release Notes of this version on our documentation page:
Release Notes 6.4.9: https://docs.m2epro.com/display/ReleaseNotes/M2E+Pro+Version+-+6.4.9
Release Notes 6.4.10: https://docs.m2epro.com/display/ReleaseNotes/M2E+Pro+Version+-+6.4.10

I hope this helps!
cheers
