Once m2e pro has been connected to ebay and the listings and synch is happening, would my client still have access to eseller pro?

Sorry, my mistake. The above post should read ‘Selling Manager Pro’ not ‘eseller pro’.

Hi Annette,

Yes they will have access to Selling Manager Pro and their My eBay section as these are built into eBay.

The HUGE point here is that if you or your client updates an order manually in eBay, then the change will not be reflected in Magento.

This is the same as any 3rd party application, most do not track changes made directly changes made on the marketplaces.

Not sure that the above is 100% accurate. I used an old eBay account for Magento testing. What I didn’t realise was that there a single product active on the account. Anyway, at Christmas orders came through for this product and were shipped as normal by my staff using eSellerPro. Once they were shipped in ESP, they were (at some point) updated to show as shipped in Magento.

I assume that M2E Pro periodically checks the status and updates it in orders if it finds it has changed in eBay.

Not sure if it only works for unshipped > Shipped orders or if it works with other status etc, but might be worth exploring further.

I’m hoping to have a multi stage transfer from one platform to the other rather then one day where we suddenly switch. I’m hoping to use the above so that we can continue to process orders in ESP while monitoring things in Magento to make sure everything is working how we expect

Thank you Matt and Dave,

I wondered if it was a ‘dumb’ question, but I’m starting to get a bit nervous as my client has a really successful ebay store and website running on a different system and I don’t want to stuff things up while I’m testing things out, or at any time for that matter!

If everything works out with the testing, and we proceed to implement magento/m2epro for their store, I gather that they can still see all their products as normal in their My Ebay section with Selling Manager Pro, but when they need to manage anything to do with their products they do it through Magento?

Hi Annette,

There is going to be a period of cross over, between getting the products into Magento and being ready to manage orders etc… Also as mentioned in the other forum thread, we’re still working on a number of the guides as part of phase one. Until these are live, I’d personally suggest just holding off and tad until they’re in place.
