All,

Has anyone encountered issues when partial or full revise is triggered manually and automatically? Issues seems to be happening alot lately, I can request the image from my server without any problem directly from the browser.

Can someone check if they notice any image errors in there log from past few days? Could it be eBay picture server issue?

ERROR: “Can’t upload product image on eBay (http://xxx.com/media/catalog/p…../x/xxx.jpg). “

Thanks,

Today I had tried listing products and I am having this issue… called ebay, they said they have received some calls about it. No help was provided as m2e is 3rd party software.

I’ve looked into it and asked my developer as well, now i am running in circles. Image issues are quite spontaous as its not just the same picture each time rather different images on various listing.

If someone has any advice on if we need to make changes to apache confg files?

I think it has to do with ebay Image URL software that fetches the images and stores on eBay picture server.
I noticed that I can post products if it has only ONE picture.. If you have more images it simply wouldnt upload, showing the error “Can’t upload product image on eBay”

If you go the listing you have trouble revising, on the actual eBay site click “revise listing” and go to Add Picture tab.. Click to add a picture, and you will see a link with the URL to your picture…. You can only add ONE url for the picture.. It wont let you add 2 or 3 URL for different pics. Maybe there was a recent change ? I dont see why it would stop working for us out of no where…

Definitely sounds like an eBay issue, if you are struggling from multiple sources…the common denominator being the eBay site.

Has anyone else been having image problems?

Hi Dave,

For the past 2 day I’ve been cramming and trying to find a solution, basically what I noticed is this:
When I want to List or Revise a product from Magento (M2E extension) I get the error
To list in this category, the required minimum number of photos: 1.
Can’t upload product image on eBay
(http://www.mywebsite.com/media…..mage23.jpg)

So, I decided to go to eBay.ocm and to manually REVISE A PRODUCTS section, under the ADD PHOTO button, I replaced the URL which is http://www.mywebsite.com/media…..mage23.jpg
change it to another URL which stores the same image… basically its my second test website.
http://www.myOTHERwebsite.com/…..mage23.jpg

What really suprised me that ebay completely processes the images that are from ANY URL other than my original website “www.mywebsite.com”.
I tried photobucket, imgur.com, myOTHERwebiste.com all of them work, except http://www.mywebsite.com

What could be the cause ? Permission where http://www.mywebsite.com is hosted, are all correct (755), not changed… every time I try to manually paste a link in the eBay.com product revision tab, once the product is revised and saved I get a message. “YOUR LISTING IS SUCCESSFUL BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GALLERY PICTURE” Basically ebay is able to upload an image form http://www.mywebsite.com, but its not able to process it.

I am really lost now… not sure why its rejecting my site.

P.S. I even uploaded my image to root directory of two of my website:
http://www.mywebsite.com/image23.jpg (ebay fetches but cannot process the image, they send me an auto email saying “There was an error retrieving or processing the source picture locatedt at http://www.mywebsite.com/image23.jpg“… The image is visible in the ad, but when you do a search there is a polaroid grey image, basically its not processed.
However when I replace the image from http://www.mywebsite.com/image23.jpg with
http://myOTHERwebiste.com/image23.jpg (ebays fetches and processes the image)

OK so does your ‘other’ website use M2E Pro to list or not?

Have you changed anything in your 1st system when it stopped working, such as any theme/extension updates or installs?

I’m guessing both sites are hosted by the same company?

The other site sits on the same hosting company under the same account as the my original site… and it does not use M2E to list stuff. I have not made any changes on my main website, out of now where, on Monday (yesterday) I noticed that M2E cant sent images to eBay. So I started manually updating links on ebay.com website… basically all links with my original site that I have changed or revised dont get processed, but get uploaded.

To troubleshoot I uploaded the same images on my other site (test site) and basically changed in the links on some products from my original site to my other site… Like i mentioned above… eBay processes these links… IMAGES are exactly the same, size, resolution, name everything is the same… Its something about my site that ebay cant process images coming from it.

I even removed the .htaccess file form my original website , images still cant be processed.

I am lost.
TWO sites: SAME ACCOUNT, SAME IP, DIFFERENT DOMAIN NAMES.

I am going to ask Matt about this, clearly something has happened somewhere which is causing a problem, too many people are having issues uploading for it to be a one off thing.

Have you heard anything back from M2E Pro on this yet?

Howdy Nicholas,

This really is one for M2EPro support to take a look at for you.

They’ll be able to login and see what is or is not happening as the case may be for your installation.

We just started having this same issue at the beginning of the month. After a lot of back and forth between eBay and M2E I got nowhere until I found something today. All our images show up and have no errors on eBay except for the gallery image. I’m not sure if this is the case for others but our site is secure so all image links we send are https. I can go into one of the eBay listings and change the image link to http directly on eBay. This fixes the issue for that one product. Our site has been secure and sending the links as https since day one so I’m not sure what has changed this month.
I have emailed M2E to see if there’s a way we can send the images up using http instead of https. Hopefully I will hear by tomorrow and can let you know.

Turns out someone here had changed our unsecure configuration to be secure which means it may not help anyone else. I guess it can’t hurt to double check System > Configuration > General > Web > Unsecure tab and make sure the base URL is unsecure.
