Currently messing around with M2E and trying some eBay listings stuff.
Trying to work out the best way to have a separate eBay price from the Website (and Amazon, play etc)
Got as far as creating an attribute like this – http://screencast.com/t/2v2vArsqoM
And I then expected it to be visible in this list here in policies – http://screencast.com/t/01zD3MzlReLX – but it isn’t.
Is this possible? Am I going about this the right way?
very close! Delete that attribute, add it back as a global price attribute and it’ll appear. Also make sure that this attribute is assigned to the attribute set you’re using.
In fact it does appear to be assigned to an attribute set (the “Shirts (General)” attribute that the product is in). Any ideas why else it might not show up in M2E?
Honest answer, no idea.
But… as it’s a test site, can you lob me over some admin details via the contact us page and I’ll take a look for you?
Just logged in and added in a price field called att_price_eby and taking a look see.
Short answer, I would have thought that it should have worked…. And it’s not.
Shoot the question over to M2EPro support (support [at] m2epro.com) and see what they say :)
Cheers for the help Matt, will ask M2E and let you know when I get a response.
M2E haven’t responded yet but I managed to figure this out once I had deleted all the sample data.
The attribute needs to not only be global, but also needs to be in EVERY attribute set.
Makes sense now, the M2E listing doesn’t know which attribute set it will be working with in advance so it needs to know that the field will be present in all of them.
Ah that makes complete sense when you mention that. Sure we have an emote for this
