Hi there
It looks like listings uploaded to eBay via M2E still hosts the images on my magento site. Is there a way to have eBay host the images?
Thanks

Howdy Greg,

From what I can see there images have to come from your Magento site, they’re not uploaded into eBay Picture services.

It’s worth checking with M2E Pro directly to be sure, but from what I just read and checking in our accounts, there isn’t any options for EPS (eBay Picture services which is what you’d want to do this).

Thanks Matt. Hopefully eBay don’t have plans to stop off site hosting.

Hi Greg,

I’m not overly concerned if they decide to do that, the the reason is simple, we’re due for some spring updates from eBay, eBay plays fair with the updates and we’ll get a minimum of 60 days notice if this is the case and if it is , then M2E will have to react to it and make the changes for a switch over if that was going to happen.

Howdy Greg,

Yea I’d not be overly concerned at all, I see where you’re coming from though.

It does have it’s benefits, such as being able to change an image on a whim.

I would be happy if this did change as Images are the biggest use of bandwidth on a server so would pass this load over to eBay, this is probably the same reason why eBay let us host our own images also.
