Ebay appear to have recently introduced a 65 character limit on one of the eBay ‘item specifics’ I use called ‘Compatible model’ (see image below titled ‘eBay ‘compatible model’ field’).
As a result eBay are now gradually removing any listing i have where the ‘compatible models’ field in magento (see image below titled ‘magento ‘compatible model’) has more than 65 characters (see images below titled ‘m2epro error’ & ‘ebay email’). I get an email every couple of days from ebay stating that more listings have not been renewed and wont be unless i reduce the characters to below 65.
I currently have hundreds of listings where there are more than 65 characters in the ‘Compatible model’ field. Is there a way that m2epro can import each model as a separate string rather than treat multiple ‘models’ as one single string? What is the best way to approach this new 65 character limit on ‘item specifics’ when using magento and m2epro to list items on ebay? Would it be best not to import the ‘compatible models’ at all?
Hello there David. The best solution here right now would be to use Magmi to import attributes. On the spreadsheet there then you could set-up a rule which would notify you if it has gone beyond the 65-character limit so you could adjust it before uploading. Hopefully the guide here: https://understandinge.com/lesson/magmi-v2-007/ would be able to help you out. Hope it all works out.
