I doubt I amgoing to get an answer to this but will share it with everyone so you are aware of it.

On a few occasions the most recent being last night, an order appeared in magento from M2EPRO. There was an ebay and paypal reference however there were no ebay sale or paypal payment. The actual ebay sale was made at the beginning of May. The order came in with a status of “Completed” I realised something wasnt quite right as my mobile is set to “kerching” when an payment is made (I just love the sound of cash registers) but it gets confusing with the new morrisions advert as they use the same tone – i digress.

In the past I have fulfilled these orders because i was confused as to why it had gone straight to completed, so some customers may have received their order twice, stangely non of them have told me. I am not going to log it with M2EPRO as the last time they fobbed me off with an excuse (cannot remember what it was).

To recap – if you get a random “completed” order then it could be the same problem.

@Steven Gayton Froggatt

Your not alone, I have occasionally had these orders come through, took me a little while to work out what was going on, as like you i was looking on ebay and paypel for the order which of course wasn’t there. Only realising that the actual order was made a month or more ago but for some reason magenta / m2e has created a new order for it.

I think Ive had 3 of these come through so far.

Think I’ve had 3 as well. Oh well at least it’s not a problem at my end. Even though it was an old order it has only just created the customer I wonder if that happened to you. The only thing I can think off is that the original order may have been around the tone I installed magento.

By the way what’s the @steven gayton froggatt at the top wiered

Hi Steve

The website inserted that Gayton bit when i used the @Steven Gayton tag, not sure why, tried to put your whole name in and it still put it in.

The orders I was getting were all old orders but not at the same time, just seemed random

Hi,
this also happened to me yesterday and it took sometime to figure out what happened.
A little concerned really so will keep monitoring it.
I have as yet not updated my Magento or M23pro to the latest version,i wonder if this may be the problem.
Can i ask if you have updated your systems to the latest version.
Graham

Hey Guys

I haven’t come across this before and rally don’t know what to suggest. Are real customer details coming through on the orders, and can you match these up to orders in your eBay accounts, including ones from a month or so ago?

Basically what is happening is that we are getting orders through as normal.

then say a month or two later an order appears in magento. But there is no order in ebay or paypal for it to match up on the day the order was created in magento.

Its only if you look back through your historical orders that you can match it up to an old order that has already been processed and dispatched a month or two previously.
