New server and connection between m2e and ebay being lost

Hi

I am fairly new to Magento but not web development. I have recently helped a friend move their hosting provider. Since then we are having a recurring issue with the connection being lost between M2E Pro and ebay resulting in duplicate listings (something ebay will penalise for).

I have contacted M2E Pro who pointed out why we were getting the duplicate listings (lost connection) but didnt give any practical advise other than updating to the latest version of M2E.

Is this just a massive coincidence since we have changed server or do you think there might be a problem with the new server / set up?

As an add on we are also now being asked to reindex and flush the cache every time anything is updated or sold etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There might be an issue with the host’s server. It would be good to check with them and tell them how Magento and M2E Pro are and also see what they have to say about it. Since you did mention that you changed servers then most likely this is more of a server issue.

Cheers Rodney – have put a ticket in to them. Will see what they say! Although I imagine they will want me to be more specific as usually do but worth a stab! :)

Server people were useless – asked how to duplicate the issue. Told them I couldnt duplicate it because it happened randomly so couldnt recreate the issue!

We have had listings where it has said it wasnt listed, but it has, then m2e has tried listing again resulting in a duplicate issue. We have had cincidents now where M2E has continually tried listing for various reasons (EAN missing in a category where it isnt manadatory).

Now at a complete loss and causing major issues.

Any help?

Does this happen with all the products listed, or only on some of the products? If it’s only some of the products, is there somehow a pattern whenever it happens? For products that don’t have EAN, you could place “Does Not Apply” to them.
