I am having relisting configurable products so sent the following to M2EPRO
When trying to list config products i get an error (see attached file). i list in this category all the time without issues and this has started happening today
I dont want to update to the latest version of M2EPRO, unless this will fix the issue (I am only 1 version behind)
This is the reply
Hello,
We investigated the problem and found out that the problem is caused by some changes in eBay system as for logic of setting item specifics.
We are currently working on this problem and will implement a fix in nearest future.
You will have to resynchronize marketplace data (Sell On eBay -> Configuration -> eBay Sites -> Save and Update button) and set the items specifics for existing items (where you receive the warning) from scratch. For new items it should work correctly.
Best Regards,
M2E Pro Support Team.

I’ve noticed these custom item specific warnings in the last few days too. Everything new has been listing ok and I’ve revised some listed items with EAN’s and everything has worked fine too, so it doesn’t seem to be causing issues here AFAIK.
The part about resyncing marketplace data and setting up item specifics from scratch sounds awful…Not going to update that unless I know more about what is actually going to happen. I’d also like to be able to export the current IS mappings as a backup if it’s possible they could be lost for any reason.

Howdy Steve,
First off they’re warnings and thankfully not errors, as errors are a dead-stop.

That would be expected as M2E create a simplified version of the item specific requirements in your Magento database. It normally takes a few minutes to update and is exactly the same when eBay updates the category structures and requirements.
Simon and Steve, as always it only takes a few minutes to make a backup beforehand if you have any concerns.
And trust me do that! I’ve been up since 9pm last night and only got to the cause of our site issues at 3am this morning.

Excellent

I’m receiving this exact same issue and got the exact same answer from M2EPro.
Unfortunately, both for new products and products that have had their item specifics recreated, I am still receiving the warning.
I tried contacting M2EPro about this multiple times and even asked for clarification on what exactly needed to be made from scratch on the item specifics and also explained to them that I am using custom attributes to manage item specifics at the product level to see if this is causing the issue, but they just kept running me around in loops… a little frustrated at this point.
It’s not a critical error and it’s only appearing in about 30% of listings, so it’s not the end, but it’s still bothersome that I can’t fix these errors.
Might have to do some sleuthing on this.
Any more insight on this?
