Hello
I wonder if anyone can help me. One of my listings has ended and after added quantities, it would not re list automatically and I’m getting the following error message.
We can’t list this item because its payment policy contains one or more invalid payment methods. Select a payment policy that contains only valid payment methods.
I have now tried to change Payment section in general templates for this group of listing few times with just leaving Paypal accepted but nothing would work.
Any idea how to list this item without creating brand new listing? I would like to keep it as it is … slightly customized from the eBay side.
Thank you for any suggestions in advance.

Just to add to my earlier post ….
I did a test on Test item.
created new listing and added item, then listed it … all OK
then I set QTY to 0 so it became OUT of STOCK and eBay listing ended … all as it should
I then added QTY back so it became IN STOCK and the same error has appeared
We can’t list this item because its payment policy contains one or more invalid payment methods. Select a payment policy that contains only valid payment methods.

It happens on all re-list action.

I then tried to do “List item(s)” action and it listed it all OK again.
Does anyone know what can cause this error? Non of our now available items will automatically relist unless I list them all again.
Thank you
Lucia

Hi Lucia,

I’ve not seen or heard of this before.

Seeing as it lists ok and stops and then manually relists makes me think there is something not quite right with M2EPro for your installation.

All I can suggest here is popping a support ticket over to them with a specific example and see what the say.

In the video below, our main tip is to use the Sell on eBay > Help > Contact form as you’re likely to get a faster response.

And do let us know how you get on as well!

Thank you for your response Matt
I contacted eBay number of times today regarding the issue but they are unable to help as they don’t support M2E pro extension. I have now contacted M2E Pro support as well with explaining what is going on.
In the mean time, I tried to “List” my same item rather than Re-list it and that seems to work. It list the same item with same template but it will not re-list it. Very strange. This makes me think it is something wrong with M2E Pro, not eBay.
See what M2E pro support comes back with.
Thank you again for your time Matt … its very much appreciated as I spent all day trying to work it out :-)

Howdy Lucia,

Yea thats my thinking too, if the item lists OK first time, but not ona relist, that kinda points towards the software.

I’ve seen issues with postage options on eBay numerous times on revisions, but payment options, that’s just odd.

Keep em in the loop with what M2E say, I’m curious!

Hi Matt
I had a response from M2E Pro support regarding my relisting issue and they suggested the following

Try to resynchronize marketplace data (Sell On eBay -> Configuration -> eBay Sites -> Save and Update button), then refresh the Payment policy page and try to select payments methods from scratch.

If it doesn’t solve the problem, please contact s again.

I’m using Community Version: 1.7.0.2 and I have no idea what they mean in their response. I asked them to specify where exactly in my version of M2E Pro I should be making changes and also how and where to refresh the Payment policy page but been waiting few hours now and no reply from them so far.
I guess it will be somewhere in eBay/Amazon (Beta) -> Configuration ……????
Do you know by any chance what they mean? I need to sort this issue today and I’m running out of time a bit.
Thank you very much in advance.

I have had a similar issue with some accounts when the option ‘Payment on collection accepted’ is enabled in the payment policy.

Hi Chris … thank you for your response. I tried to disable different payment options to check it out including just leaving PayPal accepted as only payment option but nothing works …. I’m still getting the same error :-(

Have you contacted M2E Pro again Lucia to explain that this problem is still occurring? It sounds like something at their end which they may need to fix.

Hi Dave, Yes, I contacted M2E Pro support and they asked for log-in details to check it out for me. Had an email back from them saying the following

We’ve noticed that you are running a very outdated m2e pro version 5.2.3.

First of all we recommend to upgrade to the latest version 6.1.6 via magento connect manager: http://support.m2epro.com/know…..nd-greater

Once it is done, please try to specify payment methods from scratch and list the products: http://docs.m2epro.com/display…..y+Settings

If the problem persists, please, contact us again.

I haven’t had a chance to do anything about it yet but I’m hoping to do it today. Is there anything I should be aware of when upgrading? We now have many eBay / Amazon listings running through M2E pro and some with good long selling history. I can’t afford anything going wrong with them. Do you have any tips or suggestions for safe upgrade so it wouldn’t have any impact on any existing listings?
I must say I haven’t done it before and unsure of what to expect. I set all my eBay listings to only synchronize quantity but nothing else as I tend to customize them from eBay.
Any help / tips would be much appreciated.

I’m just hoping upgrading will solve the problem.

The main thing we would recommend doing Lucia is doing a full backup of your system before you go ahead with the upgrade. It is quite a large jump in versions so just to be on the safe side make sure you have a backup safe. Other than that just go ahead with the upgrade, and fingers crossed everything should be fine.

Thanks Dave
Fingers cross it will all go smoothly. I’ll let you know if upgrading solved my original problem with re-listing items.
Dave, during the upgrade, will my eBay listings revise themselves? I’m only asking because last time some work has been done by some developer to magento, all my eBay listings revised for whatever reason and I had to go through them all again to customize them. Not sure if this is going to happen again or not.

Also one more thing, Is there any chance of losing any listings during the upgrade? As mentioned before, some of them have long selling history and rank high on eBay and if anything would happen to them it would have massive impact on our business.

I can coup with automatic revision and going through all listings after to customize them again but losing any of them on eBay and their selling history would be a disaster.
Thanks
Lucia

Hey Lucia, yes please keep us updated on how this goes.

As for revisions, I would believe that they would not automatically revise, but if you are concerned then again, I would double check with M2E Pro just to be sure as they will know exactly the processes the extension goes through on the update.

To lose your history your products would need to end and then re-list which I can’t see happening but again if your worried, double check with the guys themselves.
