OK, so I’ve wasted most of my day trying to figure out why Ebay won’t accept this product (see attachment) and I’m still none the wiser.

Stage 1: I managed to successfully upload the product (configurable) to ebay only to find out that on the ebay listing the drop down options for the product were not changing the base price so I stopped and removed the product to check the prices etc – all good.
Stage 2: tried to add the product again to Ebay via M2E, got all the way to the end of the process and get the error message attached – I’m at a loss to understand this since the first time it accepted it, then no changes and it doesn’t!

I can’t see how or why it’s not accepting it – there’s no audio or video in any part of the details (and it accepted it first time round):

1 Product(s)
The item cannot be listed or modified. The title or description may contain improper words, or the listing or seller may be in violation of eBay policy.
1 Product(s)
You must revise your listing.It looks like your listing includes audio or video that will play automatically when the page is opened. We don’t allow this type of activity, because the required code can make listings take longer for buyers to open and cause confusion. In order to continue with your listing, please revise it to remove any code for automatic clips. Find out more about our HTML and JavaScript policy {e45237-656858x}

Any ideas please – rapidly becoming disillusioned with this M2E pro ext.

hi adam

can you post the title and description? Have you tried posting the listing manually to ebay to see if ebay rejects it

thanks

Can I make a suggestion,

How about just inputting the basics, The Title, maybe a very very simple description like “This is a description”, and price. Then try and upload it to eBay. If that goes up then slowly update the product until it finds something it doesnt like.

Hi Steve

Not a bad idea.

On a slight tangent, I’ve managed to get it listed (albeit not with the simple products – doesn’t seem to want to take these now :)) but could you tell me what the Listed (hidden) means – I’ve attached a screengrab to show you what I can see.

thanks

I think listed hidden means that you have no stock but rather than end the listing it keeps all the watchers and number of items sold then just unhides it when you have stock. Have you got stock or is the status out of stock. The “out of stock” is at the bottom of the inventory screen

thanks Steve

So an update to my saga!

I’ve managed to get it listed by re-creating the item and re-listing – however, upon selection of a variation on ebay it doesn’t change the price to reflect it!

The price on the 2.5L should be £65.70 but it’s still only displaying the 0.5L price when the 2.5L price is selected

Is there no end to my pain today?!

thanks

Adam
You think you are having a bad day. I installed a Google shopping listing thingy and it totally trashed my system. AFTER installing I read the reviews but then it was too late. At least I knew what it was going to do before I tried it.

I’m not too sure lol. Pretty new to this. I just want something to list my products to Google shopping
