I think they got a lot of flack on this one. Support last week told me the same thing. Then this week I talked with sales when they asked me how things were going and I pointed out to them that I thought this was a huge oversight on their part as their on demand backup cannot be restored via Cpanel. Only sectional backups can be restored that way and support last week told me they would install for free any on-demand backup (within reason) and if you wanted the daily backup, they would charge $25. So I guess I pointed out to them why would you want to saddle support with backup on a system like Magento where people often try new ideas on development sites. Not saying my argument made the difference, but I tried the approach of not having a simple backup solution for your system requires more support resources than the license fee per account.
Well this sounds like a huge Win! Me and Matt were a little disappointed when they removed installatron and had emailed them a few times about this and sounds like plenty other like Richard had too.
Fair play to Simple Helix for adding this back in and reacting to what their customers were telling them.
