I have just received an email from Amazon saying I have 15 Suppressed ASINs. However when I check on Amazon central it look like I have 1076 suppressed ASINs. As far as I can tell this is because all my child products don’t have images but use the parent image.
In Magento I only set images for the parent product and not the child products and Magento and ebay only use the parent image(s). I thought Amazon did however it appears they want each child product to have it’s own image(s).
In M2E can I set Amazon (presumably in the policy section) to use the parent images with the child products? Amazon is currently telling me I have 1076 suppressed products because it can link to the parent image.
Does this make sense?
Hello there Roger. This should help you out: https://community.m2epro.com/topic/365-creating-products-with-variantssimple-products-getting-suppressed/ Hope that helps.
Thank you Rodney but this link doesn’t really answer the question it just shows that others have the same problem. Following the link you sent takes me to M2E‘s documentation which, unless I am reading it wrong, doesn’t address the issue of child product images.
If I set Swatch Image to Product Base Image would that work?
I don’t think that has made any difference I change the swatch image to product base image last night and this morning I still have 1046 suppressed products.
I also notice that the variable products in which I am the creator of the ASIN do not show the size option drop down. I assume this is because the child products are suppressed?
I have attached a couple of screen shots.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Screenshots should have worked this time I think, I have put a ticket in to M2E but received no reply, other than an automated one yet.
Basically the problem is if I am the creator of the ASIN then the child size options don’t appear.
After a very frustrating week talking to both Amazon and m2ePRO I have managed to establish from Amazon that my products are suppressed because there are no child images. This is what I already suspected. m2ePRO are being very slow responding on this one and after several email conversations with them I am still waiting for a solution.
I have 7752 child products all without images as Magento and eBay both use the parent image and images are not automatically attached when making child products in Magento. Also making an extra 7752 duplicate images is going to make the website very ‘heavy’.
There must be some way to tell Amazon to use the parent image?
I agree that having them all as adults would not be the way to go…M2E might be slow responding due to it being a tough one to get to the bottom of. I would keep updating your ticket with them asking for a solution.
Every expert was once a beginner
Finally have an answer from M2E (see below). Quite simply all child product must have their own image so it looks like I will have to go through all 7752 child products and add images. These will be duplicates of the parent image.
Sorry for not replying to your request sooner.
As mentioned in one of my previous responses, Amazon does require the images for Variational Products to have your Items successfully listed.
M2ePro is developed to send the data provided in your Magento Product settings according to the adjusted Policies settings.
As your Associated Products do not have Images in the Magento Product settings, the extension will not be able to send them as there is nothing to be sent.
Please, provide the images to your Child Products to resolve the issue.
