Hi,

We are using MAGMI to import configurable products. The import works fine, but the product description (in the tabs beneath the image gallery) is cut short.

This site is in Norwegian, and the text cut off when using a Norwegian letter (å). I tried replacing this with an “a”, but the description is still cut short.

Any idea why this happens?

Thanks!

Hi Thorstein,

It seems to me the problem is caused by the encoding of the file you are importing.
In that case, ensure that the file is in UTF-8 format.
An easy way to get this done is to use OpenOffice. This will allow you to specify the encoding for the file on saving it.
