hi Matt,

the UE magmi has been working perfectly for the last few months since we installed it.

however this week we had to make some changes to our server to in order to become PCI compliant.

i believe the web guys updated the PHP server.

now when i log into magmi, it shows me the regular home screen, and it shows the new files uploaded onto the server, but if i click import it resets to the login screen.

can you help please.

many thanks

Sach

Howdy Sach,

I’m afraid I’m not sure as I have no idea what they changed on the server.

From what you’ve said though, it sounds like a file permissions issue, so I’d start there first. Although it could also be a sessions issue as well :/

Good Evening All,

I have the same problem every time I click on save profile it saves the profile but takes me back to the log in screen. If I run import, it doesn’t run and takes me back to the log in screen.

I have checked and do not have any permission issues.

Any help gratefully received

Howdy Paul,

I saw your message earlier this morning just after you posted it. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like it’s a session issue.

Can you try viewing Magmi in a incognito or private browsing window, login and see if the same error occurs.

If it doesn’t then is a browser case thing, if it does, my money is on it being a PHP session issue which will be one to check with your web hosting provider.

Hi Paul,

I just saw your reply via email, running out of disk space would cause the same errors, didn’t think of that!

hi Matt

i tried in a new incognito browser but got the same result.

when i click import, and it goes back to login screen, the URL in the address bar reads like this:

magmi-importer/web/magmi.php?ts=1424708683

does that mean anything to anyone?? the ts= part at the end.

many thanks again

Sach

Sach,

I cannot remember what url came up when my error occurred.

Have you checked your file permissions or if you have ran out of disk space. Sounds really simple and I didn’t even think to check, it was my hosting company that noticed when they were trying to reproduce the error.
