Just uploaded a big file with magmi now, it is saying there are no CSV files. see attached screen shot. Its worth mentioning that under the text “Relative paths are relative to magento……….” where it mentions No csv files found, there appears to be a . (dot) before the var ./var/import not sure if that is correct

This is now fixed. I think it was a combination of working too hard/late mixed with a couple of cans of carlsburg. It appears that the /var/import/ directory had been renamed to /var/importexport. I’m not sure how this has happened (even after a couple of tinnies)

I’ve searched for another instance of a (basic) problem that I am having, and this posting is the nearest I have found to add a comment/cry for help
I am at a stage now where I have my suppliers catalogues in .csv format and thought now is a good time to test Magmi importer with importing some dummy items, however I keep getting the error message below even if I import the UE example_simple_product. Any ideas on the cause of the problem?

After numerous attempts I have finally got Magmi to import, however a new problem is Ebay description is showing just the number 1. Magento and the.csv are showing the desired description, all other features are being exported to eBay, (title, price, qty etc.) , I’ve trawled the forum but cant find any similar occurence of this problem, any ideas?

Hi Ged,

I’m not sure, can you zip up an example of the file you’re using an attach it to a reply so I can see what you have?

I had this issue in the past unfortunately I cannot remember what I did. Have you tried logging out of magmi and back in again

Thanks Steve, I tried that, but that didnt work. I’m suspecting it to be Magmi related, if I enter text directly into Magento then export to ebay, the description is OK, the problem arises when Magmi imports the description contained in the column within the .csv file into Magento then on into ebay

edit: SOLVED ! Please just add a new profile and save it. After that everything works fine!

How did you solve that? I face the same problem. I set file permissions etc.
