Hey Makbul

Hmm this is a curious one, have you tried using other characters like ; for example and seeing if this allows it to work?

HI Dave

thanks for reply , Yes i did tried that but no luck , I have the same installation with other shops and it imports fine without any issue , but the same file does not import in other installation.

I have tried to alter permission and also tried with separator [ , or ; ] but no luck so far. :(

Hi makbul,

Can you email the file over as a true CSV file and I’ll see what it does here for you?

@matt

I am able to solve one issue and you wont believe me about the solution

i have adblock installed on my chrome so it is blocking all errors from displaying on magmi :( , However i am still not able to import it , although now i know the issue is with progress.php

Notice: Undefined index: log_error in /var/www/tradenrg.com/web/magmi-importer/web/progress_details.php on line 4

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/tradenrg.com/web/magmi-importer/web/progress_details.php on line 23

Please check above error , Make sense to you ?

Hi Makbul,

Do you have a sample file I can use?

As this is a common theme now, I need examples to pass over to Magmi to be able to replicate the same problem so that Seb can look into this for us.

Morning Artur,

Running Magmi, well the UE version of Magmi in local host mode can cause some very odd issues and I’d be surprised if you got past the install steps!

If you’ve got a similar error message, can I ask you create a new thread and attach an example CSV file that causes this message and I’ll take a look at it for you?

Hi,

I’ve moved from local to web server and still having the Invalid Argument.. error.

I even tryed to upload your example CSV from the Magmi image upload tut and still getting this error.

P.S. How do I correctly uninstall(re-install) Magmi?

Here is the testing CSV.

UPDATE: I’ve installed Magmi UE on LocalHost by creating Install.txt file and changing the login and password in configuration file.

Thanks,

Howdy Artur,

See the example files here http://understandinge.understa…..les-v2.zip there are quite a few headers missing. Add these in and see how she does.

Also for the visibility column, try using numbers, so for “Catalog, Search” that would be number 4

Hi Artur,

How can I reinstall Magmi?

Just delete the folder and start again. It’s not an extension for Magento, it’s separate to Magento.

As for the error, I’m afraid I’m not sure, it’s rejecting something there and the error message is basically saying nothing was returned and those files are known to work. The only thing I can think of is to suggest you double check the file permissions.

Thanks Matt,

I’ve reinstalled Magmi, added to all folders 777 and now it seems to work :)

Thanks for all the help.

Hi Artur,

Superb, I only know that because I’ve had the same problem numerous times :)
