Hi, we’ve watched your videos and they’ve been a huge help in getting our business running with Magento but we’ve run into a few issues with Magmi.

First, we’ve acquired an extension called Amasty Shipping Table to help us support more robust shipping rates in and out of country and it seems that Magmi doesn’t register the custom attribute that comes with Amasty. It would save a ton of time if we could figure out how to get it to but we’re not sure how;

Second, the weight attribute doesn’t show up within the listing after we upload things with Magmi. This is a problem for certain shipping calculations and we can’t figure out how to fix this either.

Other than that, we’re very happy we found your videos and everything has been running smoothly. We eagerly await a response
Thanks, Dan.

Howdy Dan,

First, we’ve acquired an extension called Amasty Shipping Table to help us support more robust shipping rates in and out of country and it seems that Magmi doesn’t register the custom attribute that comes with Amasty. It would save a ton of time if we could figure out how to get it to but we’re not sure how;

If the extension is using product attributes see this video tutorial https://understandinge.com/lesson/imp-0009/ If they are not using product attributes you cannot import the values with Magmi.

Second, the weight attribute doesn’t show up within the listing after we upload things with Magmi. This is a problem for certain shipping calculations and we can’t figure out how to fix this either.

The first place to check in is your attribute set for that product and make sure that the weight attribute has been assigned to the attribute set in Magento.

Also if you wish for that attribute to be shown in the product pages, you’ll need to change the attribute settings, see this video tutorial https://understandinge.com/lesson/msb-pp-007/

If it’s for an eBay listing with M2EPro, use the keyword for the weight attribute, this is covered in this video tutorial https://understandinge.com/lesson/ltm-0003/ and lookoput for the dropdown option of available attributes that M2EPro shows

This is a problem for certain shipping calculations and we can’t figure out how to fix this either.

If you have issues with the extension, contact Amasty’s support, after all I’m guessing thats a paid extension.

PS. We suggest Matrix Rates and we cover the free version in this course https://understandinge.com/course/magento-website-foundation-course/ in tutorials 49 & 50
