Hi,

I’ve just tried to upload a CSV file to Magmi which contains some new images for existing products. As far as I can tell every single image has come up with this error

plugin;ImageAttributeItemProcessor;warning:Image attributes processor v1.0.25 – error copying media/catalog/product/w/b/wb-cherryvanilla.jpg : 2,copy(/home/cjdevelo/public_html/magmi-importer/inc/../../media/catalog/product/w/b/wb-cherryvanilla.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied

I’ve never had this specific error before and I’ve tried changing permissions in Filezilla as has been suggested in other forums but nothing has worked.

Any help would be really appreciated,
Thanks :)

Howdy John,

Ok, we know what the issue is, it’s this part:

Permission denied

And this will be down to one of two possible things.

The first is try upping the values on the confitguration tab of Magmi, so for the images file permissions try 755 (remember to press save) and then importa nd see if that nails it. If it doesn’t try 777.

And failing that this may be an issue with the user that has ownership fo the files. If it’s this one, contact your hosting provider and explain the issue and ask for them to ensure that the directories & files can be written by you and that they don’t belong to the web server user.

Hi,

On my side, after setting up magmi, according to the tuto, I got the following error :
error 1:SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known –

When U used the wizard everything was fine and Magmi, all found all datas, and there were right.

Is it really a problem of connecting to the database, or a problem of file ?

Thanks,

Romain

Hi Romain,

Thats the second time I have seen the php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo in as many days. It’s basically telling us that it can’t find the URL (a better description here http://stackoverflow.com/quest…..etaddrinfo and here ).

So the answer here is that it’s either an issue with the file, that contains images on links that don’t exist (the domain will be incorrect) or the web server has DNS issue.

So pick one image that it’s complaining about and see if the link to it is valid in a web browser, if not change it, if it is, then thats a question for your hosting provider to check on (suggest they use curl “the-url-here”)

Hope that helps!

Matt
