Hi,

I’ve entered my Google Analytics license into Magento config – do I need to do anything else in order for it to work?

Thanks

Alex

Oh yea, I was just going to say, usually Analytics would just pick it right up, guess it took a few mins for it to come through, but glad its in there now.

I remember someone telling me when I first started doing analytics and adwords…dont spend anything on marketing if you can’t track it :)

So… the Google Analytics code just goes into the System>Config>Design>HTML Head>Misc Scripts section?
Just that section, or do I need to enter it anywhere else too?

Also, any advice on just how much ‘info’ you allow Google to collect? They seem to ask for an awful lot of access to your data. Should I be worried about giving the ‘Almighty Google’ such extensive tracking access? Or am I just paranoid about them after all these years!

Thanks

Howdy Steve,

Yea that’s the section. There are a couple of extensions that add in extra features as well ( just look them up on Magento connect )

As for letting Google know too much? They already do! Is that a bad thing, personally I’m ok with it.
