Hey Guys,

I don’t know why, but I started getting NOT FOUND error when trying to access Magmi web to import items.

http://mydomain.com/magmi-impo…../magmi.php

Any ideas why this may be happening?

I set the permisions to 777 and still can’t reach it.

I have no clue why this is happening.

Please help,

Thanks,

Howdy Artur,

A couple of things to check:

1. That magmi-importer/web/magmi.php actually exists

2. Try folder permissions of 755 instead for “web” and “magmi-importer”

And finally ask the web hosting provider to check the file permissions for you too, they’ll know their hosting environment the best and can also check to see if the files/folders have been set to another user by accident.

Hi,

I’ve solved it, but to tell you the truth, I don’t remember how.

If I remember it correctly, there was somekind of issue in my .htaccess file.

I would advice to think hard, what changes have you made on your site and then undo those and see if it fixes the issue and then you will be able to indicate what is causing the problem and investigate further.

Sorry for not beeing able give you a better answer,

Best wishes and good luck,

Howdy Alan,

That sounds like the path has changed or that the Magmi files have been removed.

May I suggest the simple solution which is to reinstall?

Hi Matt,

Same issue here. I’m currently using magento 1.9 and trying to use magmi. but i can’t access the magmi.php. 403 Forbidden. I’ve already set the permission to 777 but still can’t access the magmi.

Here’s the URL [removed]

Hi Noel,

That will be a file or folder permissions issue.

Try 755 instead and see if that works. You may need to check the permissions on the magmi and web folders too. Failing that, contact your web hosting provider for help.

PS. I have removed the link you’ve posted, as that link once it works will have the users database and password in plain text. See here for more info https://understandinge.com/magmi-mistakes/
