Who didn’t grow up watching Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Disney princesses on TV and the big screen?
Perhaps only a handful.
Disney’s myriad of fans in the UK can now relive their childhood with shopDisney, a virtual department store which just launched on this side of the equator.
The new eCommerce platform offers a variety of products—with Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel characters on them—across a wide range of categories to appeal to customers from different age groups.
It will soon feature co-branded products and partnerships with various brands like Cath Kidston, Lego, Kipling, Samsonite, and many others that embody Disney’s strong culture of storytelling.
Product line expansion
Aside from collaborating with fashion, toy, and homeware brands, shopDisney expands its merchandise using popular Disney movie titles.
Just last month its US site created a new product line to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 90s Halloween flick ‘Hocus Pocus’.
shopDisney is currently focused on providing personalised products, from clothes and accessories to homeware and school supplies.
Aside from the UK, shopDisney was also launched in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany.
Graham Burridge, managing director of Disney Stores Europe, said:
“With a slick look and feel and great functionality, plus new product categories, the new ShopDisney site will appeal to new and current fans across all ages, whether you’re three or 73.”
